Writing lines

  • dau = 10 million user define a value (let is optional)
  • unit car declare your own unit, one per line
  • @aliases(cars) unit car also allow the plural
  • qps -> request/s show the result in the unit you choose (to also works)
  • 20 request per user per day per means divide
  • # note the rest of the line is ignored

Units

  • Everything in Numbat's standard library: time (s min h day year), data (bit byte kB MB GB TB KiB MiB GiB), SI and imperial units, %, and more.
  • kB is 1000 bytes, KiB is 1024 bytes, and a year is 365.2425 days.
  • Built-in counts: request, operation, message, record, event, row (rates are <unit>/s).
  • A name can't reuse a unit name — h, s, m, day and those built-ins are taken.

Functions and checks

  • ceil floor round sqrt abs min max ln log2 log10
  • round_in(GB, x) round to a whole number of GB
  • Mixing kinds of units, like request/s and GB, is an error. Click a result to copy it.
